Thomas Alva Edison the great scientist, who is famous for his inventions around the world. Edison have maded a lot of inventions such as Light bulb,phonograph,electrographic vote recorder,Motion picture etc.But along with his inventions he is also famous for his business which he was started in his earlier life.
This are the several business which was started by Thomas Alva Edison.

1) Automobile company.
This company was formed on April 24,1904 inNewark,New Jersey.The main purpose of this company was to manufacture and market electric vehicles.In 1913 the company moved its plant to Allentown, Pennsylvania, and combined with the Mack Truck Company and the Webb Fire Engine Company.

2) Edison Storage Battery company.
The Edison Storage Battery Company was organized in New Jersey on May 27, 1901, to develop, manufacture, and sell Thomas Edison's alkaline storage battery.

3) Edison Manufacturing Company.
This company was started in December 1889 as Edison's personal business and  in New Jersey on May 5, 1900. Originally formed to manufacture and market the Edison-Lalande primary battery, the company manufactured and sold batteries for use with telegraph, phonoplex, and telephone systems, as well as for phonographs, dental equipment, medical instruments, and other machinery.

4) Edison Portland Cement Company
This company was started on June 7, 1899, in New Jersey, to acquire Edison's process and patents for manufacturing cement in the United States and Canada

5) Electric light company.
In October 15, 1878
Thomas Edison and a group of investors form the Edison Electric Light Company had incorporated this company.The goal of the company was to provide financial support for Edison’s electric light experiments and work on developing an electrical lighting system for an entire city.

Have a look on 400 million old Batu cave

The Batu cave is situated13 kilometers north of Kuala Lumper in Malaysia,Batu Caves is a limestone hill that has a series of caves.The caves are named after the Sungai Batu or Batu River,which flows past the hill.

Its uniqueness.
Its is made up of limestones,this cave is around 400 million years old,is one of the most popular Hindu shrine outside India dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of Hindu festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia.

Speciality of Murugan statue.
The statue is 42.7 meter high, it is made of 1550 cubic metres of concrete, 250 tonnes of steel bars and 300 litres of gold paint brought in from neighbouring country Thailand.
The overall cost of statue is approximately 24 million rupees,which is world's tallest  Murugan statue.

The Ramayana Caves.
The Ramayana caves is also situated near to the Batu caves, there is a 15 m (50 ft) tall statue of  Lord Hanuman and a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, devotee and aide of Lord Rama.

Focus on 5 fastest bird in the World.

Spine tailed swift (170 km/hr).
Spine tailed swift are found in Central Asia and Siberia, it also referred to as white throated needletail,can fly at great speed.

These birds have very short legs which they use only for clinging to vertical surfaces. They spend most of their lives in the air,living on insects they catch in their beaks.

             Frigate bird (153 km/hr)
Frigates,found mostly in North America and Central American countries, cannot able to swim and walk properly .They have long tails,wings, and bills.

Their wings are long and pointed and can span up to 2.3 metres (7.5 ft), the largest wing area to body weight ratio of any bird.The male bears a red pouch that is inflated during the breeding season to attract a mate.

      Spur-winged goose (142 km/hr)
A native to sub-Saharan Africa,
the spur-winged goose has a body length of 75-115 cm and weights a stupendous 8.8 to 15 kg.This common species feeds by grazing,but spends the afternoon resting near waterbodies.

This birds are found in Spain,Morroco and sub-Saharan country.
Swifts have very short legs that are used only for clinging to vertical surfaces.This species inhabit manmade structure such as buildings and bridges.

        Canvasback Duck(120 km/hr).
It is a large diving duck found in North America diving ducks,its length ranges from 48 cm to 56 cm.The birds migrate to warm regions during winter in flight formations that are V-shaped.

MOST POWERFUL SUPER COMPUTER OF THE WORLD.




 China is developing a new generation super computer 'Dawning 7000' which is capable of performing over a hundred thousand trillion computing operation per second.'Dawing 7000' has been design to fulfill the market for high speed comunication network.

But he denied reports that the dawning 7000, designed to better meet market demand for high-speed communication networks, large-scale storage and application software, will be launched within two years.

Previous reports said the supercomputer had entered the phase of trial production and assembling, and would meet the public in two years. Li denied such speculations.

"Dawning 7000 is not an all-purpose machine. It serves as a mainframe tailored for certain application. So the development cycle is very long," Li said.

Dawning is also the developer of Nebulae or Dawning 6000,which ranked 2nd in the worlds most powerful super computer in the year 2010.Presently worlds most powerful super computer Tianhe-2 developed by China. - NewIndianexpress.com

India Under-19 cricket team reaches 5th time in World Cup.


For a fifth time India reaches in ICC Under-19 World Cup final  by defeating Sri Lanka in the semi final.

India did well to reach 267/9.The batting star Anmolpreet Singh 72 runs of 92 balls and  Sarfaraz Khan 59 runs of 71 balls, who amassed his fourth fifty plus scores in five innings in the tournament.

Batting was not easy but Anmolpreet Singh and Sarfaraz Khan both contributed 96 runs off 126  balls for the third wicket.

The three time champions awaits either West Indies or hosts Bangladesh in the final to be played on February 14.

Great achievement maded by Arunima Sinha.



Arunima Sinha, the amputee mountaineer who set a record by climbing the Mount Everest, recently she had conquered Mount Aconcagua in Argentina.

Arunima, in a statement, said she started her mission on the morning of December 12 and hoisted the Indian tricolour on December 25.

Aconcagua is the highest mountain outside Asia, at 6,960.8 metres, and by extension, the highest point in both the Western Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere.

"I have successfully completed the 5th summit of the Mission 7 Summits. I have climbed Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina, South America. This is also known as second Everest. After completing this I have also made World record as First Female amputee to climb 5 Mountains of the World. I will also summit rest 2 mountains and complete the goal of Mission 7 Summits," she said.

 Who is Arunima Sinha?

Arunima Sinha was born in India at Ambedkar Nagar in the year 1988. She  is the first female amputee to climb Mount Everest. She is also the first Indian amputee to climb Mount Everest.

Her aim was to climb all the continents' highest peaks and put the national flag of India. She has already done four peaks.
1. Everest in Asia, 2. Kilimanjaroin Africa, 3. Elbrus in Europe, and 4.Kosizko, Australia, as the world's four highest peaks.

She was a national level volleyball player who was pushed from a running train by thieves in 2011 while she was resisting them. Due to this incident, one of her legs had to be amputated below the knee.

She surprised the world by climbing Mt. Everest on May 21, 2013. She was awarded the Padamshree for her achievement.
